ABOUT MOLDTRAX

MoldTrax was developed in 1998 out of a need to improve communication and share knowledge within a 14-man toolroom maintaining more than 600 high-cavitation close-tolerance tools.

At this time, it was typical for companies to rely on log books and journal entries to track maintenance activities. However, this information was not standardized and difficult to access.

Early in his career as a maintenance technician, moldmaker Steve Johnson saw an opportunity to help companies save money by reducing unscheduled downtime.

Over more than two decades, he developed the MoldTrax method, a preventive maintenance approach that is backed by easy-to-access, standardized data.

Today, MoldTrax software is used at hundreds of facilities around the globe, transforming the way toolroom managers think about maintenance.
